This 7-day fantastic Southern Myanmar tour will take you to Golden Rock, Hpa-an, Mawlamyine and Kyaikkami from Yangon.
Day 1-Yangon airport - proceed to start your sightseeing with Botahtaung Pagoda. After lunch, start your visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market which has the largest selection of Burmese handicrafts. Then, enjoy visit at Shwedagon Pagoda, the 'heart' of Buddhists in Myanmar.
Day 2-Drive to Kyaikhto and on to the 'base camp' of Kinpun. On the way, visit Bago. Then arrive Kyaikhtiyo, the incredible 'Golden Rock'.
Day 3-Continue to Hpa-an, on the way see a lime stone cave, Bayint Nyi Cave which is famous for natural hot and cold spring lake. After crossing the Thanlwin River, visit Kaw Koon Cave where Buddha figures are carved out of the wall of the cave. Then arrive Hpa-An.
In the afternoon, visit Sa Dan Cave which has a natural lake at the end of the cave. Then drive back to Hpa-An, and enjoy sunset at Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda.
Day 4-Drive to Mawlamyine and on the way visit Kyauk Ka Latt which is a small rock hill formed to look like a wine glass. Then drive to Katoe Ka Nawt Village and visit U Nar Oak Pagoda on the way.
In the afternoon, proceed to Mahamuni Pagoda, built in typical Mon style. Then visit the Yadana Bon Myint monastery with beautiful woodcarvings showing the previous life of Buddha. Final spot is Kyaiktanlan Pagoda from Rudyard Kipling’s Poem, the tallest in the city.
Day 5-Proceed to visit Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery and drive to Kyaikkami, a small seaside resort. Return to Mawlamyine, stopping at Win Sein Toya, where the largest reclining Buddha in the world is located. Continue to Kyaikmayaw.
Day 6-Drive back to Yangon. On the way visit Nwa La Bo pagoda which is built on the rock on the hilltop of Nwa La o Mountain just like Kyaikhtiyo pagoda was built. Arrive Yangon.
Day 7-Depart.

It is located in the compound of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda which situated at an elevation of 3,600 ft above sea level, on top of the Kyaiktiyo hill.

The Hotel Zwekabin is a simple nice hotel located on the 5 minutes away from Hpa-An downtown. The green farms and the pretty limestone mountains are around the hotel and the hotel is facing Mount Zwekabin. It was newly opened in 2010.

It has 23 rooms and they are all are fully furnished with modern teak furniture, Myanmar's traditional arts and handicrafts. It is located at a centre on Baho Street within walking distance of most of the town’s highlights.
The Golden Rock of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda is one of the country’s most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites. The gold-covered boulder is said to maintain its balance thanks to a single hair of the Buddha enshrined inside the pagoda. To reach the top of the mountain take an open truck with other pilgrims along a steep and winding road. Once arrived at the pagoda expect spectacular views, particularly at sunrise or sunset. The whole site has a magic charisma and is a famous site for meditation.
Bago, situated on the road to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock) and Mawlamyine, it remains a quiet and easy-going town with a lot more bicycles and motorbikes than cars.
Hpa-an: It is the capital of Karen State and located at the eastern bank of the Thanlwin River, about 270 km east of Yangon. The caves and mountains surrounded and the serene atmosphere are the charming attractions of Hpa-an. Mount Zwegabin is the famous highlight of the area.
Mawlamyine
The pleasant and picturesque city of Mawlamyine, located at the mouth of the Thanlwin River, is the capital of Mon State and Myanmar’s third largest city after Yangon and Mandalay. The quiet streets filled with colonial buildings, pretty pastel coloured wooden houses and impressive pagodas make the city an agreeable place to wander. Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, perched on the ridge than runs through the town, has fantastic views across the city and river.
The city is well known for its seafood, which can be seen fresh as it is dumped into the market along the Strand Road.
